While we were in Boise we took 5 generation pictures with my mother's maternal grandparents. So Compton's Great-Great Grandparents. Here is little bit about them:
My great-grandmother, Ruby May Holladay Johnson, was born on October 25, 1922 in Nampa, ID. My great-grandfather, Russell D Johnson, was born on August 1, 1919. They were married on October 14, 1939, which makes 70 years of marriage! My grandfather was a farmer/miner and took much pride in his farm. They still live on it, to this day. My grandmother's house is always spotless and she LOVES planting and taking care of her flowers.
They had 7 children, and raised 6 to adulthood. They have 38 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild (Compton)! They served an LDS church mission with the Natives in Canada, and just recently an article was published about them in LDS Church news. It was a little paragraph about them, titled "Milestones of Togetherness." I thought it was pretty neat. We are so grateful for their example to their family, and what a true blessing they have been in our lives. It was a great experience for Compton to meet his great-great grandparents! We are so glad we made the trip to see them!
